At the very least you have a pretty neutral bike ergonomics wise.

Also no legal lane splitting.

I have issues with lights not detecting my bikes too. I usually just check for traffic and run through them though. I couldn't even do the crosswalk button trick if I wanted to because there's no fucking crosswalks on rural highways.

Does braiding brake lines do anything if you arent on a litre?
>>
>>16809153
i use rockymountainatvmc.com
really good dealer for KTM and all the japanese bikes
>>
>>16809325
if you can braid your lines you should probably get some more appropriately sized ones.
>>
>>16809325
do literbikes have brakes that work differently from other bikes?
>>
>>16809358
you have to stick your peter in the liter for them to work
>>
>>16809325
braiding the stock lines does nothing except tangle them.
Some brake lines are coated with braided stainless steel which prevents expansion under pressure. It improves brake feel (not stopping distance or power). The engine has nothing to do with it.
>>
>>16809356
>>16809364
Funny cunts. Braided steel lines

>>16809358
I'm assuming with the larger 6 pot brakes they take more braking pressure.

eh, fair enough
motosport usually has pretty competitive prices too depending on what you're buying
>>
>>16809371
>I'm assuming with the larger 6 pot brakes they take more braking pressure.
That's why they have different size master cylinders. They work exactly the same.

>>16809376

>>16809375
>don't recognize the scenery
>that's literally identical to 80% of the back roads where i live

>>
>>16809371
the more pots the less pressure required to apply braking force.
if your MC piston pushes 300psi at full pull and you have single piston calipers with 1sqin of area you get 300lbs of clamping force, if you have 2 pistons you get 600lbs and so on.
stainless braids will prevent the lines from expanding and make the brake lever feel a littler crisper on the pull but thats it
>>
>>16809405
oh yeah most backroads look "the same" but when you see something "near your house" and you see it every day you can usually recognize the little details like the way the pavement is poured or the shape of the treeline

>>16809679
i thought about getting a Q4 with a megabomb because the 4.1 is probably going to be too loud in the "wonderful" state I live in (Oregon) the rule here is 99dB at half throttle or less, it's retarded
besides FMF is godly for 2 smokers (ESPECIALLY shorties) but i haven't heard such great things about their 4 stroke pipes
>>
>>16809691
>>16809682
Q4 is pretty good. I hear it actually has a baffle that works for keeping it reasonably quiet.
>>
>>16809691
>>16809709
q4 is about the best bet for sane noise levels and good breathability from any aftermarket.
and as with any pipe your riding style will determine just how obnoxious the noise is.
thumpers are at a big disadvantage for noise since the low note carries so much further than the smokers in the hills.

Like the 500EXC SIX DAYS? Or an older 530 or something? The 500 isn't too big for trails unlike a 650, but 250s are way easier to rip and handle much better. All up to you desu, if you're test riding at a KTM dealer (I think you can test ride an EXC because it's street legal already) you should both ride a bigger and smaller bike and see which you like better on the street. The 500 is pretty nice though not gonna lie.

Dude is she hot? What bike? And if it's a woman and you have her cell number and everything there's a good chance you'll get the title, did you giver her your address to mail it to?

The southern large island doesn't really need it because there's barely any people there (relatively compared to central/north).
The central group of islands...well, only two of them are connected with a bridge, the rest you have to get on a ship/plane.

super easy, you can do it in like an hour. i cut off the KACR on my KLR250 because it's an '86 and it was all old and rattly and scraping the valve cover. popping the cams in and out takes like 30 seconds, cam timing is super easy

Okay, so I just watched a video on how the KACR works. So why is it there? What's the benefit of removing it?

Alright so my bikes been sitting for several months now and I tried turning it over and I can hear cylinders turning but it won't start. What do? New gas? Clean carbs? I had it on a trickle charger so that's not the issue.

Sounds good. It's a 1980s ninja 500 the little guys starting to reach the end of his lifespan. Old owner dropped him 6 times and slid him 2 times. Just been trying to work with what I got. He's all rusty and has a bent frame but he was 500 bucks. I love old bikes but people treat them like shit

taking off from a dead stop. i know im either not giving enough gas or letting the clutch out too quickly, but i dont understand why i dint have a problem during the msf.

the friction zone on the course bike pulled me pretty easy, but the bike im practicing on now doesnt have as "pulley" as a friction zone. if that makes sense

Ok bois, I want some panniers on my CB500, here are some options I looked into (no, I can't afford givi hard cases or whatever the fuck expensive luggage):
http://www.polo-motorrad.com/en/satteltaschenpaar-03-eb1143.html

These are decently big, I just wonder about their endurance and the fact that water will get inside them, won't that mess up the fabric eventually? They don't have rain covers, but come with waterproof bags to put your stuff into.

https://www.amazon.com/Givi-Saddlebag-Waterproof-25Ltr-WP405/dp/B00FV8UOUC

More expensive, properly waterproof, would probably cope better with harsh conditions.

https://www.amazon.com/PA-120-40mm-Ammo-Can-Ammunition/dp/B006A7L2C2

Two of these babies, will have to come up with some sort of mounting system. I already have a topcase, so I could get someone to weld some luggage spacers and then drill the boxes and mount them with screws+rubber for vibrations. They are a bit more expensive for me to purchase than the amazon price, YUROP here.

Suggestions/experiences with any of these? I plan to do some touring and commuting, but love spirited riding in the twisties too.

You don't need paint on a plastic fairing, right?

Do bikes with polished "naked" plastic look good in person?

I ask because I am a cheapskate.
>>
>>16811155
No but who gives a fuck what other people think of your bike. At least you have one.
>>
>>16811162
Fuck it, I'lll just sand well enough to blend the ABS welded spots and plastidip+enamel then.
>>
>>16811175
you can always wrap them.

or dont be a cheapskate and for some money over to get a pro to give it some proper glossy paint.

I bought a 2013 bike with 6200 miles on it, it came with a 2 year, unlimited mile extended warrenty that goes until november of 2018.

At this point I'd assume any problem from the factory would be dealt with/have been found, should I still ride the fuck out of it?

Basically what I'm asking is, whats a safe number of miles where any defects would be found from the factory, or any sort of failure?
>>
>>16811225
Proper prep and paint either takes up a dozen hours of your life or a few days worth of your paycheck. Plastidip costs less than one fairing and looks about as good as factory paint from the 90s would.
