Is anyone else annoyed by these car commercials where a dangerously inattentive drive has their life saved by safety features?
What kind of message is this sending?

>What kind of message is this sending?
"We know you're too fucking stupid to drive so we developed this system that'll try to make up for it so you don't have to change your dangerous ways, now give us money"

i was thinking the same, also "you dont have to pay attention, you have a safety net"
While it is stupid and ridiculous drivers have to depend on the car's computer to stop for them, for me it's a reassurance that if I fall asleep behind the wheel or get massively distracted I can at least minimize the damage of hitting the car in front of me. I know it's safety feature, not a safety crutch.

If you don't feel in a proper condition to drive because you're tired, emotionally distressed or otherwise unable to concentrate you should not operate a vehicle.
That's driver's ed 101.
What's so difficult about looking after yourself?

I wake up at 4 AM for 12 hour shifts. I don't have a choice.

Holy fuck what are you doing with your life.
I like having systems in other cars that protect me from horrible women drivers

I'm trying to escape my career situation desperately. No one wants somebody with only factory warehouse work as experience.
They don't change anything, they just appeal to people that are already lazy and don't pay attention to driving. It doesn't send any message other than "here's an answer for you". You can't make people pay attention to the road anymore. It's impossible.

Women drive cars too
same thing is happening with airliners, pilots literally don't have to touch controls except when landing
embrace ur future and get rid of shitboxes

The only work you can find is in another warehouse ffs tell your staffing company "no warehousing"

I did. That was 3 months ago.
The worst ones are when the car has children inside it.
>you don't need to pay attention, even if you're entire family is with you, this car will save your children!
