I'm going to sell my FWD econobox later this year and get something fun. My wife has a mid-size sedan so I need zero practicality.
My only requirements are 0-60 under 5 seconds, and 2007 or newer and no convertibles.I'm going to give myself a $20,000 budget. Basically I want as much performance for my buck as possible. A C6 Corvette seems like the best bet.
What would you guys recommend?
Need more specifics, are you only interested in straight line speed or do you want something that is fun?
C6 is a good option, or a post-2011 Mustang GT.
Shit, with 20k cash you could get pretty much anything used you want though. M3, Terminator Cobra, Supra, R32 GTR, etc.
Personally if I had 20k I'd get a 2009+ version of pic related. bike + speed ftw
But I'm guessing you're financing hence the 2007+ premise. That's really gay.

Lower your budget to 10-15k so you don't have to get cucked financing and buy a C5 Z06

The C6 LS2 has a better torque curve and a more aerodynamic body than a Z06

>more aerodynamic body
That barely matters, and it's barely a difference between the two anyway.
A few bolt-ons/tune fix that torque curve (even though they run identical 1/4mi and 0-60 stock) and add over 50hp/tq making it a real monster, and all that still for less than a C6.
It weighs less, too.

A C6 is going to be the best bang for your buck. Where I live you can find a low milage great condition C6 for around 23k.

Im the same guy who spilled oil all over his suit before work when trying to change my own oil. You think I know how to do bolt ons and shit?

everyone can do bolt-ons
