MANUAL swaps are common

I'm in a similar boat OP.
Got my little car (Focus, DCT) a bit over a year ago. If I could change one thing, I'd consider getting it as a manual.
However, I haven't driven a manual much before (learned in my dad's old '84 SVO years ago, haven't really driven since) and dunno how well it'd be for city driving (coworkers seem to manage it fine).

I only really use it for commuting as a DD, though, so I figure I'll wait it out. If I still feel this way in a few years, will probably just trade up for another car.
