Yeah fuckin' right. Even though the manual is offered in other markets, it won't make it to America. Dealers don't want them because they don't sell. They won't want to take them without a buyer already lined up; and since manuals won't be offered generally, it won't even be possible to special order one.

You do realise both the old Colorados (or Rodeos, or D-Maxes, or what ever Isuzu was calling them in what ever market) and Tacomas were once "old ranger" size too? Literally every single class of pickup truck has grown since the ninties. The difference is the North American Ranger hasn't had a new model for 20 years, so you haven't seen it grow with the other midsize pickups. The Global Ford/Mazda pickups have always competed as such.
