it sounds like it doesn't have any oil in it what so ever

sounds like the belt could be slipping or one of your pulleys is fucked
i dont know anything about miatas so dont take my word for it

its actually over filled with oil quite a significant amount so i dont think thats the issue

it started making the noise after i changed my brake pads/rotors/fluids/oil. but then again, i only notice it when im driving it hard and i didnt start driving it hard until recently

Have you checked to make sure nothing is rubbing or offset with the brakes?

Sounds like an idler bearing for the serp belt is done.

Pulley slipping sound no idea. However I have a 95 Miata, and the ticking is just lifters. Thats just a thing that happens with miatas. Use 5w-30 oil and it goes a away a little but its nothing to worry about if you give a fuck.
