sup guys
anyone here own a kei truck? i bought a 91 KS4 Subaru Sambar with the carbureted .6L engine, have to pick it up friday and drive it 6 hours back on the highway. supposed to be -5c out, fridays 1 hour of driving and saturday is the remaining 5 hours
anyone know if you can nurse the carbureted version at 80-100kmh for 5 hours straight? all i could find is a guy saying he drove his supercharged efi model for 10 hours and it handled going 100kmh but nothing on carbureted. should i hang a rosary from the mirror just incase?
Don't worry about the cold. The radiator is right in front of your knees
100km/h is literally top speed on the base 666cc models as that is the end of all your gears
It's really dependent on the person driving to what they would consider comfortable.
80km is most likely the sweet spot on them

80kmh for 5 hours straight shouldnt cause strain or overheating though? i picked friday because its -30c outside right now but friday onward is only -5c
No but why hinder yourself?

i have multiple vehicles, only other 4x4 i have is a 6.0 gas Chevy camper that i cant keep putting $120 tanks of gas every 2 weeks to get around the city in winter. just sold my Toyota Hilux for something more economical, kei trucks fit the bill

Canada, more specifically Alberta. buying it in the south and driving it back north
>overheating
If there wasnt a problem with the vehicle it won't overheat.
They are driven here up and down mountainous roads (I am talking first and second gear hills) well overloaded, in a tropical climate and unless there is a malfunction no vehcile whether a truck, car, SUV, jap, euro, American, has any issues
Driving along a freeway is probably the easiest thing a vehicle can do.

youre going to cause an accident driving that thing down the highway at 80km/h
rent a flatbed and haul it

unless you're west of 2, isn't Alberta just flat as all fuck? You should be fine, if you break down just steal a new mustang from a first nation.
