This morning I tried to start my car, initially the key would not turn. When the key did turn, the car wouldn't start. I kept trying and eventually it started but immediately died again. It did this a couple of times.
Any guesses as to what it might be? My initial thoughts are it might be something to do with the choke valve? I have my battery on charge and am going to try again in an hour.
Pic related: it is my car (07 Lancer), if it makes any difference.

B-But... the engine is turning over?

Its a Mitsubishi lancer is the problem. Or fuel pump/filter. Or its not getting spark. Turn the key to the on position and see if you can hear the fuel pump.

Google the issue with your vehicle year and model and see if its a common issue
OP here.
I'm not hearing the fuel pump when I switch the ignition to the ON position. Is this a likely culprit?
If so, how2fix?
