Good treuck overall.
I just bought a 95 4x4 v6 5 SPD supercab myself. ($200)
I'm normally a v8 torques kind of guy, but needed a DD (I live in the still is so need 4x just to get out my driveway).
Good vehicle overall.

Stupid autocorrect.
You won't be doing impressive burnouts or pulling people out of the mud- but she won't leave you stranded.

My buddy wants to swap a 302 into her
Fuking same. 5 speed manual 4 cylinder. 96 ranger.

Its a common swap.
Everything is available online (motor mounts, exhaust, etc). But it defeats the purpose of having a small truck IMO. Might as well sell it and buy a full size.

Can't you just drop a turbocoupe engine in them? That'd be more in line with a small truck.

change the oil and it'll run forever. It won't be very happy on the interstate.

You can but a v8 swap is better
