My keyless entry system doesn't have very good range. I found that it has a stray white wire that doesn't connect to anything, pretty sure it's the antenna. Can I ground that wire to the chassis to use the body of the car as the antenna, or will that not work?

No. Don't fuck with shit like that
>>16613585
The length of an antenna is a function of the frequency. Also, different antenna shapes have different radiation patterns, so bigger is not always more effective

You should have worked harder.
It is the antenna and no, don't do that.
What difference does range make on keyless entry? Do you want your car to be unlocked while you're still a few hundred feet away?

I've never heard of a single instance of a keyless entry system braking. I'm not even sure how that would be possible. Please elaborate?

Brakes are pretty important. I wouldn't call them "stupid shit"
