is this normal or should i panic now.
what do you expect a nearly 200K engine to look like through the valve cover?
Should he run it with tranny fluid or just run it as is?
Has oil been changed in that 20 years?
My 410+k shitbox looks fine on the inside.
put some seafom in there m8.

Every 10,000km since I've owned it

Maybe use some engine flush and do the oil changes more often?
>>16604436
just do shorter oil change intervals, what kind of oil do you use?
>>16604677
10w40. Semi synthetic.

>using any amount of dino oil in your engine
>expecting it to be pristine
Pick one.

How often do you (not) change your oil
Give it like 3 200 mile oil changes with an oil with a lot of detergents like pennzoil platinum
>>16604842
>use semi synth
>never get any of that brown sludgy crap
>>16604436
no, scrap it and get a bus pass
>>16604436
nice sludge buildup.
>>16604436
Is it sludgey or just dirty and black?
Just overfill it a tad (like half a Quart) and leave the filler cap off and let the oil do its thing, sometimes it will take 1-2 oil changes to go away

>Semi synthetic
>Not going fully synthetic
Now there's your problem.
