Why aren't 1970s Dodge Chargers that expensive? I've found several on my local CL for $10k that are already fully restored and driving.
Because young people don't buy cars
And also people don't have (((cash))) to buy shit because it's a nation of retards in debt.

Because people only want the 68 69 and 70
>>16600123
Dodge sold a million of them so it's not like they're rare. Only the number matching Barrett-Jackson bullshit cars are expensive. You can get a lot of 400+ hp fully restored "projects" for $20k all day.

This. Mopar's expensive coupes from the early 70's are the Challenger and the HEMI 'cuda
>>16600169
This, and the 70's aren't very saught after by the Mopar connissuers
>have slight model changes every year
>some more collectible than others because rarity and boomer meme poster cars
Was this intentional?
>>16600190
No, it was the trend back in the 60s, they kept changing car models every year. All car makers did this.
1971 and newer are less expensive in general.
Most models got more aerodynamic or bloated. 1972 was first year of emission standards, so engines are not as powerful.
>>16601253
I feel like this is true for all muscle cars. The horsepower wars were done by 1972, the late 60s cars/very early 70s cars were the peak of muscle cars. That's why muscle cars from 1972 or newer are cheaper.
>>16600123
I found this largely to be the case with late 60s-early 70s vettes. All the ones going for 10-8k had the small block v8. Could be a contributing factor.
>>16601401
>10-8k
>10,000 to 8,000
>putting the larger number first
>being retarded
this is the intellect of the people who actually enjoy 1970s American """"""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""muscle""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""

>Car not before 70 is shit.
Chryslerfags everyone.
>>16601253
>1972 was first year of emission standards, so engines are not as powerful.
That would be model year 1973 and it was a last ditch to conserve mileage over power post OPEC shitshow.

>That's why muscle cars from 1972 or newer are cheaper.
Petrol cars are yet to be exempt from smog for road use if model year is after 1974 is the real reason. Otherwise car model years 1972-1973 were of a record low count made of that era and should be considered more valuable.

How is the weather in commiefornia today?
'71-'74 satellites are much better looking than '71-'74 chargers
