What ever happened to interiors having indented sections to place something?
Is it fucking illegal now or something?
I don't understand. I never see new car interiors with that. It's always some round sloped shit that even a book will slide off.

Even on that Ranger interior, the airbag could have been between the passenger air vents.

Not exactly.
On a Ford Ranger you could set a map or book or something above the dash itself as well, between that slope and the windshield. The Honda Fit just has a tiny shelf above the glove compartment.
Some other cars and trucks I've been in had rectangle indentions on the top of the dash to set things. I don't see those anymore, and the Fit doesn't have them either.
