I just got through streaming The People's Car with James May on Amazon. Is conclusion was that the VW Golf fulfills the role of all-around greatest car. Then, on episode three of The Grand Tour, Jeremy Clarkson stated "That is why I own a GTI."

Why is it, then, that /o/tists continually shit on VW, even while two of it's demi-gods praise the brand?

I own a 2016 GTI and I can confirm it's a pretty GOAT car. Only downside is the weak as shit stock clutch but keeping that car stock is gay anyway.
