I'm trying to plan my next car project.
The only actual car work I've done is fixing up a camaro with my dad,and we did very little engine work so I don't have a whole lot of experience
I won't be able to do this until I graduate college and have my own garage so about 2.5 years from now but I like to plans things in advance
one option is to build a demolition derby car. I would build it over a year and them in august be in the local derby, then spend the next year doing it again and so on and so forth every year. working on these cars would be a good way to learn I think because if I fuck up really bad it won't destroy the car I've been working on also this way I don't have to make it look super nice.
the other thing I want to do is fix up a mk1 sirocco and do a vr6 swap and possibly turbo charge it. this would be cool to because it would actually be street legal so I could actually drive it
what should I do and why?

24 Hours of Lemons or your local dirt track "Bomber" class are both cheap fun.
