Can having a busted sway bar end link cause you to fail a state

I'd get it inspected by the mechanics who say it won't fail...

What kind of car do you own. I've got a German car and it costs like 150-180 for me to replace with a mechanic. Getting the part myself would be like 17 dollars on pelican. Do you have like a super car?

It was mostly shade tree mechanics I asked. Didn't want to call someplace I was planning to go and raise a big red flag before i get in the door, in case they simply overlook it.

Mine just being old and cracked but not broken failed it in Texas. Took the opportunity to upgrade to whiteline alloy and polyurethane end links that I wanted anyway.

How about fix the fucking car?

Take it to a jiffy lube. It should pass since sway bars are optional equipment on most cars. I don't think it should fail based on the law. Im a nc resident. And what failed its its just loose thats fine. If its broken off you might still get failed.

I've been thinking about just doing it since i saw the DIY and it looks pretty easy honestly. But I have to buy a jack and tools. And i live in an apartment complex in a big city which makes it kinda awkward to do this kinda work.

I'm taking it to a meineke tomorrow. Hopefully they just gloss over it. It's a high traffic well reviewed one so I'm hoping they don't have the time or incentive to nit pick every little thing wrong with my vehicle.
