the 86 comes with prius tires so its fun. having super sticky track tires on the street is not fun.

so stands to reason to acknowledge that the 86 would have been another 2-3 seconds faster if it had tires intended for track use, and setting the record in the dry, like the 350z.

Look, no one is saying the Fiesta ST is a bad car. It's a really fun car and it makes a fantastic daily drive. But it's not a sports car.

There's a reason you don't see most people push the motor past 300, because the power becomes unusable and torque steer becomes unbearable.
Don't get me wrong, Ford did a fantastic job eliminating torque steer. Such a good job that you can add power over factor and still not get any. But at the end of the day, it's still not a sports car. And most people will agree, including any owner that has two or more cars.

Anyone who says that's the only way to have a fast car is a faggot, but there is truth to it. Building a fast car is overall more fun than buying a fast car. You pour effort and emotions into a car and get to feel all the changes you've made one step at a time, which is really enjoyable.

So yeah I would buy a car with a strong chassis as well. Eventually the suspension will be almost completely replaced. The engine will be highly modified or replaced. The interior seats will be replaced. The steering wheel will be replaced. The brakes will be replaced.

I mean chassis and engine are the two most important points when buying a sports car. Chassis even more so than engine.

The only people that hate the Toyotwins or the Fiesta ST are people that haven't had an opportunity to drive both for an extended period of time.

Both cars are awesome in different regards and have differing strengths.

The Fiesta ST is manic in a canyon and has fun levels of torque while still having the utility of a hatchback.

The Toyotwins feel like a proper entry level sports car and, regardless of the lack of torque, carry their speed extremely well. With a nice set of wheels and tires, they stay proper stuck to the floor and are tons of fun to whip through a canyon. Not much utility as a passenger/cargo vehicle, which is fine because it's not meant to be.

Again, the only people who hate either of these cars are fools with memes leading their minds and not enough money/time to drive both.
