Can /o/ recommend a comfy cruiser with a good combination of space, fuel efficiency and a soft comfortable ride?
I was thinking of buying a newer Optima base model with the 16 inch wheels for a more comfy ride.

no.
Get a Camry, or even better, an Accord. Avoid the Nissan Altima though.

my mom has a 2011 Optima Turbo and its really nice. smooth, fast, solid, quiet. I'd recommend one.
Focus or Fusion

Ew, don't get a Korean, get another slant

please go GM shill

Mazda3, Mazda6, and Accord are the only acceptable options for new
If you're okay with older stuff an LS400 would be perfect aside from its fuel economy
Any modern midsize 6 cylinder sedan will be good
If you want comfy, though, and are willing to sacrifice some fuel efficiency LS400 is the way to go

Can approve of '16 Mazda 3, but you hear a good bit of road and wind noise.

ls400 mind

Why? You could get a used e class or ls430/460 for 25k. Way better than some shitty Korean car.
