Hey I want to make a large automotive purchase. I'll consult my son so he can go online and get expert advice. I make good decisions.

If he can afford the RF I would get that just to have the option of a hardtop.

Miata RF Club Edition. Sure there are cars out there with better hp ratings, but the driving experience is superb unlike no other car on the market today.

I'd try and convince him on a BMW roadster that's used. They should be fairly cheap, I'd imagine in the 5-12k range depending on condition.

In a Miata he's going to get weird looks.

i mean, it's hard to go wrong with the ND and the RF is better looking and more practical because hardtop

Honestly op if I was your dad I would do it. Or get a used boxster. But if your dad would really prefer new then go with the miata rf.
