/o/, I've grown tired of the Sedan/Coupe life.
What SUVs aren't a commonplace, yet won't make me look like a work in a cubicle?

SQ5, the best looking SUV on the market.

Old Ssangyong

why not look into hatchbacks and wagons instead of SUVs?

Samurai

Take an XJ and do fun things with it
A bolt on brush guard and some angular flares aren't hard to install
Plus, a bone stock XJ is a fairly capable wheeler without much moding so you could ostenisbly do some very entry level shit in a platform that handles rather pleasantly for something with two solid axles and recirc ball steering

This OP. Personally, I'd look into a used Cadillac CTS Sportwagen
>lots of space
>good looks
>Cadillac badge
>reliable 3.6L V6
>available AWD
Get a wagon.

Cant tell if youre asking for common or uncommon SUVs. I'll throw out some of both.
Full size Bronco, K5 Blazer, and Ramcharger are good full size SUVs with some personality. 7th gen Suburbans are still fairly common. 8th gens too, but thats when they switched to IFS, if that matters to you. Plus the 8th gens really only look good when theyre all done up and modified for wheeling IMO. IH Scouts are pretty hard to find anymore, especially ones that arent rusted all to hell. Theyre pretty fucking sweet though.
Slightly smaller is the Jeep Wagoneer. Somewhat common, can be had with 100% sexy simulated woodgrain side panels. Sharing the same platform is the SJ Cherokee, which is plenty good looking as well.
Even smaller is the Mitsubishi Pajero/Montero/Dodge Raider. Not the same sort of look as the aut/o/s mentioned above, but still very unique. The first gens, at least.
Smaller still is the little babby Suzuki Jimny/Samurai that >>16553181 suggested. Badass little offroaders. Would like to own one myself for a trail rig.
