Subaru's need a new timing belt around 140k, the belt is pretty cheap but because of the way the engine is designed it's gonna cost about $1000, but even with that knocked off the price you'll be over paying

6500 for a stock wrx is a rip-off everywhere else in the world but those ks ain't too bad

I think the biggest weakness to these engines are the fucking cooling system, get an air bubble and you're fucked because of local boiling. That and head gaskets are a bitch to change, engine needs to come out. Not big into the boxer engine myself.
