I was cleaning out my father-in-law's closet and found a BNIB MSD 6A ignition box. Would adding this to a 94 F-150 with a 351 make a difference in gas mileage?
The ignition setup in the truck right now is an MSD coil, cap, and rotor, Ford Racing 9mm spark plug wires, and NGK copper plugs. Otherwise, totally stock engine.

It would make no difference, unless you are routinely over 6,000 RPM.

Never over 6,000. Hell, rarely over 4,000.

Yeah, it'll give you a little bit better mileage.
Mostly because it'll increase torque from idle-3000 RPM.
Less pushing on the accelerator to get up to speed =less fuel used.

They only do the multiple spark discharge up to 3000 RPM. After that, it's single spark per.

How does this improve fuel economy if OP's engine is already firing smoothly?
Man I would love to just find that sitting in a closet for my fox body. Its coil overheats pretty regularly.
