it will be slow.
it will be inefficient
it will be cool though.
cons: parking, fuel consumption, intact virginity
pros: torque, loud horn

Do it. I used to DD a 77 C60 with a 454 swapped in with a fat cam.

Absolutely. If you road rage it will look like a Die Hard movie.

better check what registration costs for a commercial vehicle in your state. Prepare to drop $1,000+ per year

Ohhkay.
They're not fast. Quicker than you might think (Acceleration is about on par with an old pickup) but they're geared for 55mph cruise. Even if it has a 5-speed it very very likely won't be overdrive. The way to tell is to look at the shift pattern. If it's a more conventional pattern, direct. If it has pic related, overdrive.
If it has hydraulic brakes, it won't have a typical brake booster on the firewall like a car or pickup, but rather it'll have a Hydrovac/Hy-Power can under the cab on the left hand side. Believe it or not, parts are still available for them.

The cabs are cramped. The basic cab was first used on the '58 A-series trucks and IHC didn't really update them. Even for the average 5'9" '50s man they would have been cramped. And the engine doghouse that protrudes into the cab really doesn't help.
Fuel economy will suck. Cruising at 3300RPM with a 345" carb'd V8 isn't exactly a miser.
Expect 8 MPG TOPS.
Unless it's a 6 cylinder, then you'll get 10 MPG but you're not likely to break 50mph lol
You can tow just about any trailer with it. Just, don't expect to go fast.
They're actually easy to drive. With super low gearing and a decently torquey engine you don't need to rev the engine before letting the clutch out like you would in a 4 cylinder car. And IHC engines respond REALLY well to an MSD box.
