I never seen it happen during a race. Normally, it happens when you fast forward or rewind anytime during the replay, and then play it at normal speed. That's the same thing that causes the spinning head glitch I described in the last thread

Why is rF2 regarded as "best sim ever", if the default content is so mediocre, and the game relies on third party made up cars in order to exist?

But like what you said the devs don't care for it, there's terrible documentation on how to use the engine and make content for it and as such there's nothing to drive in it.

Would be good to have tyre wear off in case someone goes out of bounds and has to climb back up

Only 3 people who race in the series are going to daytona as far as i know. I'm not too keen on taking that time off, perhaps pushing weekend start to 3:30 est could be the right compromise if people serouisly wanted to watch the first whole hour of daytona.

Two games with same car modelled by different developers, but based on same CAD data. Would it be technically possible to open one model with finished livery in photoshop, select layer with complex livery, push painted polygons away from one point (centre of car), open second model, rescale and position it properly and then pull these polygons back, so in places where they meet new model, pixels are marked on new car livery texture?

No because what you're describing is not the job of Photoshop but 3DSMax. You can't edit the UV wrap in Photoshop and that seems to be what you want to do.

If the same car is modelled by different devs, then more than likely it will have different UV mapping and so the template will have things in different positions and different sizes. It's usually easier to just remake the whole skin.

I find the Wingman Formula pedals to be slightly better than DFGT pedals
FFB feels exactly the same as on a DFGT, since both wheels have plastic gears and one (very similar) motor
it's only 180deg rotation compared to a DFGT's 900deg, but it's enough to get started in playing with a wheel
oh and no sequential shifter, but not everyone uses that anyway

$25 for a wheel with actual FFB and a decent amount of buttons can't be a bad deal

Asking one of you a big favor. I've made a skin for the GT3 cup on Rfactor. But somehow the skin won't show up in my game. Yes ive tried .dds'ing the file. .veh is attached aswell with the right 'coding'. Can please someone make my skin work in-game? The only thing ive changed is the main skin. I want to keep the rims etc stock. I'll put up a .rar with all the files that came with the template and my skin. Please help a brother out ;_:

What resolution does the .dds have? Some templates need to be resized to be square inorder to work properly.

For example the Ford GT's template is 2048x2940. If you drop the .dds into the folder like that, it doesn't show up. Resize it into 2048x2048 and it shows up correctly. I assume it's the same for that Porsche

It's really not that hard

Step 1: Find a shittonne of car-related sponsors to slap on (mine are basically all from the Cuzco Impreza)
Step 2: Add your own main sponsors (SpaceX because SpaceX, PositiveGrid provides my guitar amp modelling, super eurobeat because I have gotten in way too deep in drifting, QR code for my name there, small details like name/flag/numberplates etc)
Step 3: Go wild with the polygon lasso tool for a spiky livery like that, use the pen tool for soft curves, do yourself a favour and try to avoid difficult shite across panels (pic related, helped tokyodorito line this up over the weekend, took more time than my entire car)
Step 4: Colour in in colours that compliment each other
Step 5: Cover all bits you want to be carbon in your homemade carbon texture from /turnleft/
Step 6: Do an alpha channel that makes the shite all look a bit more real

Well I was considering it to be more of a "last person to die wins" kind of race rather than an actual lap race, though I'll probably cap the lap count at 4 or 5 just incase people are still alive by then. So you just pick the fastest car that you can(or can't) handle and hope you don't wreck out/get too bored and quit.

Are you applying the gradient on top of the number plate and other stickers? it looks lik eit but it could be the shadow.
