I used to see kits and shit go for 500-1500 for just the manifold and turbo as cunts upgraded but now I reckon get a new kit from a shop because a 13 year old high k turbo will be fucked.

Might be ok if rebuilt.

Turbo manifold couple hundred and turbo itself 1000+ then other fiddly bits another hundred or so a decent fmic just get off eBay then a dynotune after you bolt it on and drive it there preferably on Na another 500 dingodollas or so.

So around 2k ish and get a trans cooler as well if auto.

Maybe u can do it cheaper if you find a low mileage wrecking donor or something.

Out of those two, the Maloo. It's a much better driver's car. The XR8 is akin to an overpowered Ranger with a Falcon cab on the front where as the performance Commodore utes have much more in common with the sedan. From memory the BA onwards XR has a payload of around 550kg where as the VE SS is around or just over 600kg. The fact the Holden ute handles like a sedan and the Ford ute handles like a pickup adds insult to injury.
