Hey /o/

Just bought this for the equivalent of $932 USD... what ya think?
>>
>>16531919
Well, you can probably do a lot worse.
What is it with /o/ and sub-$1000 E36's lately?
Did a brony own this one too?
>>
>>16531919
Body looks like it's in excellent condition. If you keep it like this for long enough it will sell for good money. But you have to store it and keep it nice for a long time.
>>
>>16531919
Nice buy, for that kinda money even if it dies in a month it was worth it.
>>
>>16531919
let me guess
316?

How bad is the interior?

>But you have to store it and keep it nice for a long time.

Eh if he keeps it for ~5 years he'll probably sell it for more than he paid for it, assuming it isn't trashed.

Cars tend to follow a 25 year depreciation to rock bottom, then they appreciate for another 25 years until they match their original msrp (inflation adjusted), after that they either continue to climb or level out.

E36 is getting popular again, rock bottom prices are right now and over the next ~5 or so years, mint M3's are already climbing near $20k USD.

If he's got a poor spec it'll never hit a high, but I still bet he'll get more than he paid.

No Brony, just an old woman who needed a four door car for her grand kids.

>>16532005
Yeah it is, it's really straight and has M3 side mirrors, M sport accents and the suspension is super firm and feels great to drive on.

>>16532132
It's fine, I guess.

>>16532228
What's wrong with the plates?

No, it fucking doesn't moron. The car has aftermarket front lip, side skirts, rear wing, turn signals, tail lights, etc. The mirrors look "M3" but you can tell they are not right. No foglights? What is this, a 318i? I mean fake M3 door strips?

Like the car, but educate yourself.
>>
>>16534341
Alright mate settle down... I'm not a Euro fan but I bought it because I knew I could make money on it. It's a chang AC Schnitzer kit.
It's a 318is but factory manual so a pretty good deal if you ask me lol.
>>
>>16534341
>M3 door strips
>>
>>16534356
>"M Sport"
nigga pls, don't throw that word around. otherwise car is cool. would buy myself, boston green (or the other one) is the shit. seeing those wheels (in the US at least) that means it is sport package, with sport seats/suspension?
>>16534361
Yes, the black things to protect from door dings are off an M3, they aren't stock.
>>
>>16532549
>>16534372
ah hunter, didn't look like boston.

I have no idea man, first Euro I've ever owned. I assumed the little M logo on the trim etc meant it was an M sport accessory or some shit.
Yeah, it's an is model which I'm pretty sure means it comes with stiffer suspension.
As for the door strips, I think it's part of the kit it's got on it. Once again, unsure.

Fucking hate the wing. It's moulded to the rear guards so the ends of the spoiler stick to the car when you open the boot. Looks cheap and dumb, also think that the boot looks really bare and might need a factory badge or something like that.
>>
>>16534391
No such thing as an "M Sport" for those cars. Sorry, that just triggers bimmer M fags like me.
>Yeah, it's an is model which I'm pretty sure means it comes with stiffer suspension.
In the 1992+ 3 series "iS" just means two door. Only in the earlier models did the "S" mean sport.
>As for the door strips, I think it's part of the kit it's got on it. Once again, unsure.
Those are factory OEM door strips off an e36 (your car) M3. Non M3 3 series had skinny strips. Very common (and good looking) mod.
>>
>>16534397
kinda reminds me of the wings origin lab makes for JZX100s
>>
>>16534397
So your car has a full bodykit (front, rear, sides, wing) with M3-style mirrors and OEM M3 door guards. You have aftermarket clear turn signals up front, aftermarket rear clear tail lights, and aftermarket smoked side-turn signals. Seeing as you have rear headrests your car is a 1998-1999 model (if in the USA). Wheels are sport package. Exhaust is aftermarket.

Where do you live?

Also if you want to know more about your car go to bimmer.work and type in the last few digits of your VIN and it will say all the options your car has, build date, codes, etc.

Cool car btw. Would buy for 1k any day. Sorry for being salty bro, welcome to the BMW life.

Yeah, I knew it wasn't an M Sport edition. I just thought they may have been M sport attachments from 328's or 325's.
My one was 11/1993 but got sold in 1994 so is registered as one.

So you think the door strips are OEM? Didn't you say that they were fake?

>>16534400
Hahaha that's weird, my daily until I bought this was a JZX100 Cresta.
>>
>>16534411
Well your door strips could be "fake" ebay, but they are OEM style at least. They just didn't come on your car from the factory, thats all. Mirrors are def not OEM M3, similar but a little different.

Car is pretty riced out, but I'd buy it. Someone put a shitload of money into just the body parts on that 318is. Which country do you live in where someone would invest so much in that car, and where you can buy it soooo damn cheap?
>>
>>16534409
Will use all that info when I sell it hahaha. Cheers man, it's a '94 but in New Zealand.

I'll definitely check it out.

don't sweat it cowboy. thank u

>>
>>16534470

>>
>>16534481
Option code 286. Never seen that in the USA. Makes me curious of the rest of the options you get in NZ.

It's not like i'm going to steal your identity lol. Screenshot the rest of that shit.
>>
>>16534488
Doesn't really say anything else, just the cylinder displacement and where it was made etc.
>>
>>16534490
Ah, guess that option code is for the sport package wheels. So your car doesn't have the sport package unless you have the seats I pictured above with the bottom part that moves.

Either way cool car. Used to own one. Sadly gets shit gas mileage considering its a 4 cylinder, but I would DD that any day.

You looking to flip it or what?
>>
>>16534497
Yeah terrible on gas, I live just out of town and it's a 25 minute drive in at 100km/h and 3.5k RPM

It's up for sale at the moment and have had interest in buying it for $3000.
>>
>>16534518
Well, hopefully what I said can help with your ad. E36 BMWs are good cars, tho the 318 is a real dog.
