Hey
I'm fairly interested in getting my bike license. Can you recommend me any books or websites I can use to research all things I should know abouts bikes, brands and everything a Biker should know. Perhaps you can drop some advice to a bike rookie. Thanks
No.

Watch Twist of the Wrist 2 on youtube. Very good, but is assumes some experience. It's geared toward track riding, but a lot can apply to the street.
American? If so take the msf course. Check revzilla for reviews on gear. watch twist of the wrist 2.

take the MSF course (or equivalent how do I into motorcycles tier course), buy a decent set of gear (helmet, jacket, boots, gloves and pants) and don't buy a supersport bike as your first.
SV650/Ninja 650 are gud, get one of those.
You can always sell it an get a proper sportbike in a year or two's time once you've actually learned how to handle a bike somewhat, your first bike probably won't be your last. People always seem to overlook this.
