When I drove an s30 I would wave and get waved at. When I drove an s130 I would wave at s30s an s130s, they usually waved back. When I drove a tr6 I never encountered another but other convertibles would honk and wave. In my saab 900 we honk and wave and act giddy as shit when we see each other.

Waved at a guy in another gl, we raced a few times between lights too because we can't race anybody else without losing for sure.

However my Saab being an Aero with noticable modifications it tends to attract attention from actual Saab (and sometimes Volvo) enthusiast.

I've been driving down a road and a 9-5 wagon pulled up next to me and the driver invited me to dinner with the local Saab club that was meeting in the area.

Also WRX owners tend to wave and flash thier lights at me as well for some reason.

My dad has a kit car that looks like a 718RSK (actually has 356 parts on it)
Since it's an open top, we only take it out when it's sunny and warm which means we only get a few days of the year to drive it. This also means other classic car drivers are out driving their cars. We always get waved at or wave at people driving past.

Small kids also wave at us too and we wave back and sometimes beep the horn
