TL;DR: Post the VIN at least a day before you plan on seeing the car. If it helps to know, I start checking from 9am-1pm California time. : ' )
Also, I'm open to suggestions for my "format", I'm thinking of removing some things or making some of them less descriptive, idk, date format (m/d/y or m/y, place of repair, etc.. mostly from the maintenance section). just to cut down on character limit. Maybe the Mod-man can do some magic? :)
Lastly, VINs from Motorcycles, Dirt Bikes, I had a VIN for a snowmobile kek don't have many or any records at all 99% of the time.
VIN that is not native to the US or Canada will not work.
VIN for cars of the whenever to 70s-79 will likely not work. 80s and up do work.

Look in the manual or take it to a mechanic. Fro what I know, timing chain will last longer but the guides won't so, you'll end up paying the mechanic more for the work since replacing a timing chain is more complicated than a belt.

Make sure the steering wheel doesn't shake when braking and/or cornering. It seems like an easy thing to replace but if you really need the car and it hasn't been replaced, it can help your lower the price of the vehicle. Good luck!

If it runs good and you got it for a good price then is fine.
My Dad bought a 2000 RX300 in 2013 with 128k on the odo. and about a month ago when I found out about VIN checks, mightyBenz checked it (I still have the PDF) and it was used as a rental vehicle for 8 years. 108k miles were removed in 2010. Anyway, now this RX300 has 322k miles (original but read 222k) and runs very well, it can easily go over 500k. We've never repaired anything just oil changes with synthetic every 3-5k miles and transmissions oil, too, but from manual's interval. We just maintain it now. My Dad works in construction and drives this car different places. A typical drive distance would be around 150 miles round trip and then some. In 2015, he went to San Diego, CA every day and put around 86k mies in 340 days. Good luck with your car. There is hope.
