Depends entirely on how you drive, where you drive, how long distances you drive daily, if it gets cold where you live, the prices of diesel vs. petrol where you are and so on and so on

i typically drive really slow. ive never actually went over 3.5krpm in my current car. ive never went over 75mph either. and ive only gone over 65mph a few times.

i do a mix of long distance driving and short distance. id really say its about half and half.

it does get cold where i live. but i plan on moving somewhere warm

around where i am the price of diesel is sometimes even 20 cents less than gas

i drive a 2013 honda fit. i love it honestly. but i drive so much and the diesel prices got me thinking. i drive 20 miles to school 4 days a week. i also drive 40 miles a few times a week to visit my family who need my help. on average id say i drive around 100 miles a day probably averaging 35mpg

Your car is fine. Sure you could buy a diesel golf but it'd take years to break even.
