My sister has a 2010 Chevy Malibu and most of her gauges just quit working at once. Her gas, and speedometer. What could be causing this? I'm a rookie with automobiles so that's why I'm asking. Could it be a fuse or some type of sensor?

If it was multiple gauges I would suggest looking at the fuses first.

If the fuses check out it could be the entire cluster (I know alot of 05 to 08 chevy's had problems with the cluster itself)

Hey! Everyone telling you to check the fuses is right, I had an 04 that was constantly plagued with electrical problems. Chances are theirs some really fuckey shit with the cluster

It's the fuses. This kept happening to me, it turned out the radio had a wire loose and kept causing a short, making the fuse blow every time i changed it.
