/o/, help me choose my next car please? I want to spend under $5000, my last resort will be leading a base Kia Forte with no options, but I really don't want to do that.
My previous cars were:
>1997 BMW 328iC
Loved:
>styling
>rwd
>convertible even if it wasn't practical
>engine was bulletproof
Hated:
>just about everything else, it was old and high mileage so repairs were often and of course pricey
>retarded shit like a completely plastic cooling system
>no steering wheel adjust
>leather looks great but I was always afraid of it cracking
>no room for people or cargo
>awful city MPGs
>2003 Nissan Sentra
Loved:
>reliable
>fuel economy
>cute shitbox looks
>roomy yet compact
>Nissan actually gave this car a not entirely dead suspension
>early 2000s plastic aesthetic
Hated:
>1.8L engine with 100 horsepower
>cheap interior kept breaking
>hubcaps
>things were always breaking that didn't stop me from using the car, but if I got a routine inspection I'd end up having to fix them all at once
>2001 Oldsmobile Alero
Loved:
>it's a car
>reasonably reliable
>nice stereo I guess
Hated:
>underpowered V6 and 2 ton curb weight = worse MPGs than my Bimmer
>ugly, unapologetically so
>seriously, it looks like you've given up
>softest steering ever, and I've driven my grandma's Avalon
>literally everything
Thanks

So you love practical, stylish, high MPG cars with sporty steering? For less than 5k?
Twingo
Bmw e30. Sporty, bulletproof engine, easy to fix yourself, stylish, and will probably hold its value better than any sub $5000 car out there.

How old are you? Why have you had so many cars? Post your local craigslist
Use it for downpayment + taxes + fees on a new 2017 HONDA CIVIC

Is the E30 less retarded than the E36?

I'm 22, I bought the BMW in high school and drove it for 3 years before some asshole ran a highway intersection and killed it. Nissan I had for 2 years until I got cut off in a traffic circle and the thing was totaled since my car took the head on impact against an SUV. The Olds is just a family car, my folks just had it sitting around and I've been using it while I save for a new car of my own.

If I'm gonna lease I'm just gonna go for a Kia Forte with no frills, my sister has one and pays next to nothing monthly for it.
