Hey /o/ I just wanted to say thanks.
I came by 6 months ago asking for advice and feeding vinbro vins. I've had this 2002 Saab 9-3 SE for about 5 months now and I'm in love. Every cheap car I've ever bought was just plastic and gross on the inside. I feel like I'm driving a $2500 Rolls Royce.
I flashed the ecu with a .bin that tricks the TCM into thinking its not going over torque limit(this is a 4 speed automatic) and also changed mapping. It was $50 and some spark plugs.
It is literally the fastest car I've owned now too, and incredibly reliable. I've replaced brakes, rotors, all fluids, and even had to do a bearing/clutch for the A/C condenser. Its got about 85,000 miles on it right now but it hauls ass and looks like a white person car. I don't have an exhaust on it or bigger fuel injectors yet, but I think I might just keep it a sleeper.
I still wanna know who stole my fucking blinker on the day after Christmas though. I'll tear you in fucking half bro

Good choice OP. That's an excellent car.

kek on the stolen blinker
>4speed auto
t7suite and t5suites are pretty damn delightful.
I hope you are using synthetic oil and changing it ever 3 to 6k. I use rotella t6 and a pl20195 (quarter quart larger than stock) filter. Change your plugs ever 30k or less to preserve your DIC. NGK only.

im happy for you OP
you are definitly making the right choices
dont trust white people

I'm jealous OP but I'll hopefully have my own in a few months.

I didn't know that about the DIC. I know they die quick but didn't know changing often helps. I went a heat range cooler for my tune. I'm pushing 255hp. I haven't done much other than change vacuum lines to silicon and some other bs.
Ive been doing rotella T6 every 4k miles cause I know I hotrod this car around too much. The TCM mod I mentioned to get rid of torque limiters is RARE for my 4 speed automatic american 9-3 2002. I am willing to share it as only me and one other fellow have it. If you guys do get a Saab buy the USB BDM adapter and flash tunes. You will wake the car up.
But yeah anyone want a stage 1 no torque limiters 4spd auto box tune? You gotta have the B205R motor and TD04. Changing sparkplugs is a good idea unless you want to blow them or carbonize them. People don't believe my car is an automatic because of how it drives.
