If I could afford to probably not. everyone's first car should be a beater so when they finally decide they want a nice car they will take car of it.

I don't mean a unreliable hunk of shit. Old, runs, and I won't care if they ding doors or back into a pole. If they prove they are responsible and can take car of shit i would match or help pay for something when they figure out what they want.

How my parents did it for me. They could have bought me a brand new car at 16 but they didnt. I think it worked.out better in the end.
