My pos 98 4Runner is at 200k starting to get increasingly unreliable. Going to the car lot tomorrow to check out the new models. Anyone has the new one that wants to share their opinions?
How do you fuck up a turd gen? They're pretty beasty and usually stay quite reliable for a pretty long time.

Keep fixing it.

What's unreliable about your vehicle?
Needing a new set of tires isn't reliability m8.

Lol
Dammit OP I have my heart set on your generation. Why is it fucking up?

Agreed to a degree, (as a third gen owner) but 20 year old trucks are 20 year old trucks, as well as they are built. I still drive mine all over including a 10+ hr drive to NY and back over the holidays, but I can understand the OP's motivation, particularly if the truck has been neglected and hasn't been properly "baselined" with maintenance items and stuff like LBJs and steering rack bushings.
I have a 16 SR5 premium. It's a solid truck. Rides nice, comfortable. Looks great. Only downside is the fuel mileage. Averaging 16.5mpg, but it is winter and I have snow tires on it.
