Unbiased Texas vagrant here. I really like the DFW but compared to Houston it isn't nearly as fun to drive. It's decent driving though, consider yourself blessed you don't live in Austin. Also I notice a shitload more decked out pickup trucks in DFW than other big Texas cities. Maybe that's something you could get into.

If you want speed go to West Texas. Lots of those back roads out there only exist to service water/oil pumps. Not to many people/cops out there. Good place to flip your car at the redline and slowly bleed to death upside down in a ditch all alone.
