What do you guys think of this 1988 rx7 I know it will need a lot of work I work at a tow yard and this was never picked up I figure I can get this pretty cheap. Maybe like 300 bucks
Can someone run the vin for me please.
Low miles
Unfortunately it's automatic but interior is clean.
He's more of the motor.
>automatic rotary that's been sitting for a while with 100k miles on the odometer
If you pick it up for $300, you'll probably be in about $4k before it's finally up and drivable.
On the plus side since you probably need a rebuild you can upgrade the engine a bit while you do it for cheap.

Best case scenario:
>buy for 300
>sell motor and tranny to local rotard
>optional: rebuild motor first for experience and wrenching fun
>buy ls motor and transmission from junkyard
>drop it into rx7
Now you have a proper rx7
The rolling shell is worth it if you can get it for 300. As far as a rebuild project since its automatic your gonna be investing more into it than it will be worth to sell. So only do it if you lust for a rotary or have a manual convertible eaten up with rust to swap parts from.
