200,000 km on it and let me tell you this is the greatest thing ive ever bought. sure, its a rusty turd, suspension atrocious, safety questionable, and an overall rolling heap of "license and registration please" trash,

but it rips mad skids, is loud as ever loving hell, and is super fun when banging through gears.

I agree. I think it's the best shitbox to buy right now period. Fun and appreciating in value in all conditions. Even Anon's $800 one will probably sell for more in a year if he gets sick of it before he breaks it.

86 has a weird EFI system, 87 or newer will let you put on an Explorer intake manifold for gainz, 85 or older will be carb. 89 was last year of no airbag and a tiltable steering wheel.

They will put a huge grin on your face but know what you are getting into: Objectively, they are kinda trash stock. Easy to unlock a lot of power but their chassis and suspension need work.

If you live in an area with a lot of rednecks, a turdgen ferd or chebby is more expensive now than it was a few years ago. they all keep getting bought up for dirt track and enduro racing at the local oval full of wannabe nascar shitheads so it's becoming difficult to find one that isn't fucked to death.
