Hello /o/
There was a hole in my car's exhaust pipe, so I had a muffler guy to cut, bend and replace that section of the pipe.
But now it's missing the heat shield.
Is this a big problem?
Will my underside catch a fire?

Aw sweet dude is that a Ford?
O2 sensor wire is very close to the heat source with out the shield.

maybe
maybe not
Don't park in tall grass.

take it back and ask where your shield went
>>16385896
your fine.

Where was the old heat shield attached? Looks like the other side bolts to the car but there aren't holes on the other side. If you wanted to you could heat wrap the section near the wire. Everything else will be fine.

Op, zero fucks given.

It is not attached to the car.
The top and the bottom pieces are wrapped around the pipe.
If you are referring to the piece that is attached to the right underside, there was no counter part on the left.
Those heat shields aren't there to protect anything from heat, it's to keep the exhaust hotter so the cats can work better during cold starts. Now your car is basically a barely street legal race car that's ripping a giant hole in the ozone layer every time you crank it up on a cold morning.
> cold morning.
i live in south florida.
all is good
