Hey so I may be buying this 2005 Dodge Ram 2500 slt diesel. Everything works. Motor is great. But tranny is not. In drive the when you give it gas the motor revs up and the it moves forward slowly. In 4 wheel low it works fine. In 4wheel high and 2 wheel. It doesn't. Any idea on what it could be.

Sounds like a problem with the transfer case. Sound from the rear end?

Check the oil level in the transmission, and if that's fine, the trans needs a rebuild.

How many miles?
I'm pretty sure those are a 68rfe transmission, and a rebuild at a reputable shop is around $6000...
A manual swap would probably be around half that if you did all the work.
I wouldn't spend a penny over 4,000 for it.
