It's corrosion, remove every aluminum part and polish them.

The staining is oxidation.
You don't get rid of oxidation as it comes right back.
Paint it all with heat resistant paint

Hit it up with degreaser on the Alum and give it a little scrub with a wire/plastic brush it will come off eventually
