Question.
These were designed for rotary engines.
So WHY has NO ONE swapped a Mazda rotary into one?

Why would you swap AMC reliability for something with the durability of a dorito (lel) and no torque?

Nobody's thought to? The people who would buy a Pacer to begin with wouldn't be interested in a rotary.

weight. The Pacer was DESIGNED for a GM-built dorito engine, but GM pulled the plug at the last minute. The AMC I6 engines that powered most of them was a last minute "OH SHIT! We don't have an engine!" move. Soing any kind of work to the I6, like say a valve cover gasket, is a MAJOR operation because the engine bay wasn't designed for it, which had the I6 engine half-under the fucking cowl.

People who appreciate Pacers have a weird sense of taste broski, it's not like the Gremlin. The Pacer is known as the Human Fishbowl mobile for a reason.

Why don't you do it?
>tfw no pacers on craigslist

I can't fucking find one.

Because it's a perfect chassis for it? Why do you act like they're all 70's Soviet twin-rotors? Even Renesis can clear 120k miles, or more, between any intensive maintenence.
There is no reason not to put a 13B in there and move the I6 to a jeep where it belongs.

It needs a respray, some cosmetic work, and the hood from OP's post, but otherwise it's beautiful.
