I know it's just a little bolt, but I'm kinda pissed. Dealerships take advantage of people all the time.
Am I overreacting?

I've heard of this but never seen it. What type was it? petcock?
They tend to leak and hang down a bit lower so it's easier to snap off if you hit something, hallmark of lazy fuckers.

I really don't know what it is. It has a rubber plug, but when you pull it out, no oil comes out. So it must have a special drain tube.

can you FUCK OFF. I didn't think to take a picture holy shit.
It's not like I'm talking about some mythical engine or something.

Funky. I'd replace it with the proper bolt, get a magnetic drain plug if you can. Check if you need a compression washer to prevent it from leaking as well, they are typically one time use.
