Lost tools are great, I've gotten a couple oil filter cups that way

lost/forgotten tools are the best.
when I worked at a dealer, salespeople could never take plates off so trade-ins would always come into the shop. We're scurry and rummage through the vehicles (customers already took all of their shit out) and see what we can find. Pop out rear seats, pull up false bottoms, the usual shit.
Or auction cars, sometimes those can be a gold mine!
pic unrelated

> salespeople could never take the plates off

Wtf guys
Hey, free tools!
>>16312342
10mm 6 point sucks cock desu. sounds cool at first but you can never get the box end on in tight spots
save the 6pt fur sockets desu
>6 point
>>16313146
>I love to strip everything I touch
12 points are for faggets
>>16313146
Kinda this. You really don't need a hex-point for a 10mm , you're never going to be fastening it so hard that you'll strip unless the bolt is made from shitty steel

>>16313637
You guys have never actually worked on cars have you? 12-points don't strip. At least in the 5 years ive used them for pretty much everything from small trim bolts to engine and suspension bolts
>knock a screw
>it falls down engine bay somewhere
>spend 30 min looking for it because i have the intake open and i'm not taking any chances
>find it in some stupid fuckshit place that i would never have guessed to look if the sun hadnt glinted off it and hit my eye

My grandpa used to weld the plates to the bumper so drunks wouldn't steal them back in the day. Then laugh at the people at the dealership try to take them off when he got a new truck.
