Any mechanicfags on /o/?
The right rear window my car has a problem.
Even if you touch the button for a split second, it goes all the way down and won't go back up.
the only way i've found that allows you to put the window back up is when the car is starting initially after a bit, then you can get it all the way up with the button.
the problem is the car occasionally has a tendency to lower the window automatically when starting the car as well.
does anyone know what exactly the failing part is and how expensive the fix would be?

If it still goes up and down normally when it is working than you may just need to reset the auto up/down feature. Do some research on if infiniti's have a reset procedure for power windows.
If its not that, replace the master window switch.

It almost feels like the "down" motion gets stuck when pressed and turning the car off is the only way to "release" the car from constantly trying to make the window go down

Should have bought a Lexus instead.
Then at worst, you could go to a dealer and enjoy a hot stone massage while it got fixed.
