not confirmed but possible. FCA was working on a Dart SRT4 before they killed the Dart. It was supposed to have a 300HP version of the new Hurricane 2.0L I4 in the Alfa Romeo Giulia, and AWD.

IIRC< the Fiat Tipo and Dart share the basic chassis, so theoretically they could just transfer all the Dart SRT4 work to the Tipo/Neon.

Just looked it up. The Tipo/Neon are not on the same chassis as the Dart. It's actually on a variation of the same chassis used by the Jeep Renegade, which is a variation on the Gamma 2 Opel Corsa/Chevrolet Sonic chassis.

Already owned the trademark and there's enough heritage to build off of. The Neon was never regarded as a particularly bad car. The nameplate was replaced because Dodge went in a completely different direction with the Caliber.

I like Neon a lot better than Dart, only because the current Dart is not one.
