1976 Honda Civic CVCC with 5-speed manual and 100k miles. Should I pull the trigger? What's a fair price and can it reach 70 mph in a reasonable time?
What are they asked?

$6500 is what they want, but I feel like $5000 is a much more reasonable price. It's in full working condition.

>$6500
>for a 40 year old civic
It better be fucking mint.
>tfw would love a civic
>live in california so only 1975 and before cars are smog-free
feels bad

Pic related is it. It looks to be in great condition, only thing is interior is probably a little worn. I'd offer $5,000.

The CVCC is the only one that was sold in California, so you could get one. But I'm buying this in Georgia anyway.

>smog era civic
>will it reach 70mph
very slowly maybe
$6500 is too much for that especially considering its not in mind condition.
just walk and let it go.
Kek $6500. Even if mint I'd say no. I had a 83 civic with the 1.5 (iirc). Was a great small car, could park anywhere. Good gas mileage. Well I'm sure a good tune up would have helped, it would be screaming to reach its top speed of 80.

i had a 83 cressida and even that could top out at 100mph
god those civics must be slow now i know why everyone wants those 90-99 models

I think it came with 60 or so hp from the factory. Add all that time and I'm sure it lost some. Made for a slow car. Kinda miss it though.

>can it reach 70 mph in a reasonable time?
k swap
i payed $500 for my ke30, but i understand that was a few years ago and all these small cars inevitably go up in value like all chrome bumper cars purely because of supply and demand
I would consider 3k is the most you want to spend especially on a 40 year old economy car with fuck all power. Consider what else you could buy for that 3k, or in your case, what you can better buy with 6.5k
better be mint tho

>$6500
I rather get a EM1 or clean af CRX if it has to be old
