Does it automatically select gears? Then it is very likely that it is an automatic gearbox.

Does it require human input to manually engage gears by means of a dog clutch? Then no, the transmission is not automatic.

Does your transmission use a pair of coencentric cones linked by means of a chain or fibrous belt to continuously vary the reduction ratio? Your transmission is a CVT.
