Can't find anything but beating around the bush on dumbass Google. Putting subs in my truck, downfiring. My question is will 2 12s or 2 10s sound better in such a shallow space? I don't want to spend money on the 10s then regret it, but also don't wanna spend money on the 12s and it sound like crap. Anyone with insight or experience with both sizes under the seat in an extended or double cab truck?

10s will be fine and actually hit harder with the same wattage. 12s just can do lower frequencies.

Can 10s handle rap? I rarely listen to it but I enjoy it when showing off their versatility.

>10s will hit harder than 12s
That makes no sense.

Because the diaphragm is smaller. "Hit harder" is the wrong terminology, though technically correct as you could send more signal to a smaller enclosure, a 10" will sound clearer and produce less noise when presented with the same wattage and ohm as a 12" in the same enclosure.
This would be negligible, however, as with today's wattage capabilities and the laughably low amount of amphere's you'd need to even hear noise in a 12" and not a 10", just get the 12s. In fact, get the biggest you can, the bigger the sub the lower the frequency range you can hear.
Only deciding factor here would be the build quality and company, really. (le no pyle of shit or kicker)
