Thoughts on Subaru Legacy?
I'm looking for a new car, and my commute is about to skyrocket up to 15k a year, just from home to work and back. I like the safety ratings, fuel mileage, and the basic trim is actually pretty nice.
My only real concern is paying 22k for it, and then putting 22-25k miles on it every year. Does anyone know the life expectancy of these things? I'd hate to kill it after only 5 years.

V6 accord for <10k

One of my bosses has one of these and he likes it. If you don't ignore shit and take car of it it wont die in 5 years.
I don't own one and have never drivena newer one.

Do you need AWD?
If yes, then it's an okay buy. Although a WRX would be a lot more fun
If no, buy a mazda3, mazda6, or Honda Accord instead. They're much better cars.

I'd like AWD for sleet and rain, but don't expect anything more substantial than that.
And thanks for the recommendations on the others. I'll go drive them tomorrow. Why do you think that they're better buys?

different guy here, but i would imagine cause the legacy has a CVT auto, none of those other cars do. also mazda right now is really well regarded for their 3 and 6 models for driving feel, interior quality and price

Got ya, thanks. Mazda6 in particular looks amazing,
Do you think it's retarded to get a new car at those prices and then slap that many miles on it right out the door?

Yes. What do you drive now?

Yeah, when looking at those cars. at least go for something CPO. you can get a loaded mazda 3 used for like 16-19k rather than 27k, just because 25-30k miles are on it. buying new ain't worth the depreciation you eat

Second mazda 3 or 6.
Been in both and holy fuck the interior is a class above
Minimal hard plastic and in the 6 its dead silent.
